What does NLP Stand For ?
NLP is an abbreviation of the Body Mind System Technology we call Neuro Linguistic Programming.
What on Earth does That Mean ?The Simplified Explanation - NLP is a combination of Ideas, Patterns and Techniques which are experiential and subjective to each unique person and experience.
We as practitioners apply to the premise that mind and body work as one system and much of this can be discovered through An Exhaustive set of Techniques that discover and create new relevant processes to Life Transformation at your Deepest Unconscious levels.
What does NLP have to do with Hypnosis ?
NLP was originally influenced very strongly by Famous Hypnotist and Therapist Milton Erickson, by Modeling the way he elegantly patterned Linguistic suggestions and Rapport in the facilitation of change within his clients.
NLP includes effective Techniques in its Applications, specifically "Milton Model Language" which may also be used for Effective Lasting Change in Ericksonian Hypnosis.
Hypnosis Takes an "Inside out" approach to creating a New Lifestyle, it speaks to the subconscious behavior that affects your Deepest Beliefs about yourself. Going to work on Your habits, projections and Circumstances and turns them inside out, in a manner that is consistent to the New Values and Beliefs you can discover during the Coaching process.
Can NLP Be Effective with Everyone ?
NLP can be effective with any person who is at a point of Wonton desire to succeed at changing oneself for more clarification please read the next question.
When does NLP not work ?
NLP will not work for people who are incongruent and not really ready for effective change yet. What I mean by that is if people are not 100% sure yet, they may have questions such as:
How will this new behavior change my life ?
What will I have to give up in order to achieve it ?
Will I still be the same person and keep the same friends ?
On the one hand they would like to Improve ... and on the other hand they are not quite committed to the process yet.

Learning new behavior is similar to Learning a new way to Live and communicate within your self. This process is at first unfamiliar and if you are not quite sure you are ready for all the benefits of a new Life, NLP cannot not make the change for you.
NLP works Excellently when consistently applied in a congruent manner to a set of behaviors that are no longer deemed useful.
When NLP is Applied Congruently, at the time of Deep desire for Transformation within a person NLP rapidly moves the process forward closing the gap between the old behavior and the Brand new Desired behavior.

Does NLP use Manipulation Techniques to "Brainwash people" ?
NLP is a set of techniques that work in congruence with your own values and beliefs, if you take a look at the question above, it may clarify this answer further for you.
Can NLP be used for Persuasion and Influence ?
Yes, NLP is extremely useful to work toward an Ethically, Ecologically sound process of Win Win and for that reason many Sales professionals and Negotiators do very well in their career when becoming skillful at Mastering NLP.

Can I learn NLP from a Book ?

I suggest you begin with a practice group in your area to learn fundimental principles of NLP, ask questions and practice your progress.
Depending on your Skill Level your Trainer will suggest and explain books that are suitable for you.
It has more often than not been found NLP becomes easy and fun to Learn once being Demonstrated in a Training environment.
Learning and mastering NLP is a process, and doing as many Live NLP Training's with many different Excellent NLP Trainers who have varied Teaching styles can often be helpful.

Is NLP Training or Coaching Expensive ?
Expensive is relative, and depends much on perceived Value, at the moment I am not sure what you are comparing it too.
If I were to say is NLP Expensive compared to Singing Lessons I would not know how to answer that because I don't know anything about Singing Lessons.
Let's say I do became interested in Singing Lessons, I would seek out the Best Coach for my Investment. A singing Coach who would provide:
